Aberdeen Homeless Coalition speak to Brown County Commission

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Volunteers with the Aberdeen Homeless Coalition spoke to the Brown County Commission on Tuesday.

Kathy Zerr describes the purpose of the group.

Zerr talks about her motivation to do this.

Zerr told the commission what the volunteers do every Wednesday night in Aberdeen.

Another volunteer who was formerly homeless was Jamie Shaw and he shared his story with them.

Shaw talks about the amount of support he received from this group.

Zerr expand on the lack of trust homeless has everyone and how the group tries to overcome that.

Zerr told the commission one of the mottos used by the coalition.

Zerr talks about ways that the people in Aberdeen can help out with the program.
