SIOUX FALLS, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – After winning the past two invites that the Golden Eagles were at this last week, Aberdeen Central traveled down I-29 to Prairie Green Golf Course and put together a solid individual & team effort, en route to a second place finish.

Collectively, the Golden Eagles finished in second place, thirteen shots behind first place Mitchell. Rapid City Stevens, O’Gorman & Sioux Falls Lincoln rounded out the top five. Individually, the highest finish for Central was Emma Dohrer. She finished (+1, 73) for the day and three shots behind first place Maddie Childs of Mitchell. Lauren Knapp of Rapid City Stevens finished in second. The highlight of the round was Dohrer’s eagle on the par four 12^th hole. Although she sprinkled in a few bogeys on the back, Dohrer finished the final two holes with a pair of birdies.

Olivia Braun, who had been the medalist in the last two events, finished in sixth place. She started the day with a birdie on the par three second hole, although she picked up three more birdies on her round, four bogeys, a double & triple bogey on the round didn’t allow her any higher on the leader board.

Kyley Wirebaugh snuck into the top ten, finishing with a (+9, 81) for the day. Wirebaugh was only two over par on the back-nine, as she picked up a birdie on the par four fourteenth hole.

Aberdeen Central is back in action Thursday at the Huron Invitational. Check out the full team & individual leader board below…
