Governor Rhoden in Mobridge and Aberdeen Thursday

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio) –On Thursday, Governor Larry Rhoden’s Open for Opportunity Tour made stops in Aberdeen and Mobridge.

About forty people was with Governor Rhoden at Great Plains Restaurant in Mobridge this morning.

Governor Rhoden visited Aberdeen.

He visited Richmond Dam.

Governor Rhoden also visited SMACK Pet Food, on Centennial Drive.  Rhoden praised the industry for moving their operations from Canada to South Dakota.

Govenor Rhoden took time to speak with KSDN and update on other items starting with the Project Prison Reset Task Force.

Rhoden discuss the target date he set for a potential special session for July 22nd is flexible and can be changed if needed.

Rhoden talks about the end goal of this task force.

Task Force has one more meeting scheduled to address this.

Rhoden was also asked about the two open positions in our region for the legislature, District 22 Senate seat and District 1 House seat.

Rhoden describe who he would be looking for legislators to represent those districts.

Rhoden talks about how the Open for Opportunity Tour gives him an opportunity to discover some of the beauty in South Dakota.

Governor Rhoden wrapped up the day by encouraging the next generation of leaders to seek opportunities at Boys State.
