YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The State of South Dakota has expanded a sales tax rebate program to include animal production facilities and counties.
Adam Molseed with the Governors Office of Economic Development spoke to the Yankton County Commission about the program.
Molseed says the developer will sign over the rebates directly to the counties.
Molseed says there are no restrictions on how counties can use the dollars.
Molseed says it is an expansion of an existing economic development program that rebates sales taxes to new or expanding manufacturing plants.
