YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – More work is scheduled in and around Gavins Point Dam on the Missouri River over the next few years.

Operations Manager Tom Curran says they got all three hydro power units back on line this summer.

Curran says there is a major, multiyear project scheduled in the power house.

Curran says they want to extend the life of the hydro generators.

The dam was completed in 1957 and has a rated power output of 130 megawatts.
