Senator Rounds comment on “One Big Beautiful Bill”

WASHINGTON, D.C.(KCCR)- Congress passed President Donald Trumps “One Big Beautiful Bill” Friday with passage by the House of Representatives.  Misinformation about the over 900 page bill has been abundant and South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says changes to the Medicaid program will not impact long-term care facilities.

Rounds says the Medicaid portion of the Triple-B includes some exceptions to the work requirements.

Rounds says another part of the bill getting skewed by wrong information comes from the extension of 2017 tax cuts.

Under the Big Beautiful Bill, up to 25-thousand dollars worth of tips can be deducted from an individuals income taxes, before taxes can be applied.
