SDGA Sanford International Series @ Mitchell – Lakeview GC; GGID: SIS25LAKEVIEW

MITCHELL, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – At Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell on Monday afternoon, the SDGA Sanford International Series had its next stop & Watertown’s Gabi Olson would be the medalist for the day, finishing five strokes ahead of second place Chloe Attema from Harrisburg & six shots ahead of Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun.

Braun carded a (+3, 74) for the day, a very respectable score, but Olson was just on another level. Braun had three bogeys on the front nine & a birdie; that birdie was on the par-5 fourth hole. On the back nine, the Aberdonian only had two bogeys, and helped even things out with a birdie on the par three twelfth hole; she also had six pars on the back.

There would be a three way tie for fifth place, headlined by another Aberdonian, Aberdeen Roncalli’s Claire Crawford shot (+4, 75) for the day. Crawford picked up a birdie on the first hole of the day, a par four & another birdie on the par five fifth hole. She bogey’d three holes on the back, one on the front and a double bogey on the par five fourth hole, but was in the top five for the day.

Miller’s Jayce Pugh finished tied for 9^th place for the day, where there were five other golfers, in a very competitive afternoon from Mitchell.

On the boys side, the hometown Kernel, Asher Dannenbring would be the medalist; he defeated Tyson Blom of Sioux Falls in the first hole of the playoff. Dannenbring carded a (-4, 67) for a superb day of golf.
