WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)- Watertown Regional Airport Manager Ian Meriwether says he’s had very preliminary discussions with at least one budget airline about offering seasonal flights out of Watertown.

Meriwether says surveys have shown the five most popular destinations are Orlando, Tampa, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Nashville.

He says the flights would be “at risk,” meaning the airline would not receive any federal subsidies to cover their costs.
