South Dakota Lottery updating hours for lottery machines

PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- The South Dakota Lottery is making some updates to ensure video lottery machines are only played during approved hours of operation.

As the site controller updates take effect, video lottery terminals will automatically disable at 2:10am local time. If a bonus round is being played at that time, the machine will finish the bonus, print the ticket and then basically shut down. The video lottery machines will then re-enable themselves– or turn back on– at 7am local time.

The site controller updates are ongoing and South Dakota Lottery anticipates all video lottery machines across the state will have the site controller update installed by the end of the month.
