ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- Following are key dates for the Aberdeen Regional Airport Terminal Access Road and Parking Lot Improvements.  These dates may fluctuate based on weather conditions and progress of the contractors.  Please share this with your teams.

August 7, 2025:   Fence and Gate Installation for the Temporary Access Road south of National Weather Service

August 7, 2025:   Begin Construction of Temporary Access Road south of National Weather Service

August 13, 2025: Main Terminal Access Road from Highway 12 closed after Midnight, following the night flight arrival.  Barricades on Highway 12 will be propped up to direct traffic to the detour aka Temporary Access Road south of the Weather Service.

August 14, 2025: Milling/Paving begins.  This includes the ‘south’ half of the parking lot.

August 14, 2025: Morning flight passengers will be directed to the Temporary Access Road south of the Weather Service.

September 24, 2025: New Terminal Access Road and ‘south’ half of the parking lot will be opened to traffic.

September 24, 2025: Phase II of the project begins.  This will include the ‘north’ half of the parking lot.

November 14, 2025:  Project is Complete.
