SDSU is one of a dozen universities nationwide selected by NASA to create a project for the Moon to Mars eXploration Systems.

Assistant Professor Todd Letcher is leading yet another group of students into this latest NASA project.

SDSU students will work on a project that will make lunar exploration less cumbersome for astronauts.

Letcher explains.
Another group of SDSU engineering students is being given the opportunity to shine with NASA.

An SDSU proposal on a “Moon to Mars” project is one of only 12 in the nation to be selected.

Letcher says they’ll be working on a project to allow astronauts to avoid having to wear space suits while they work.

SDSU is one of only three universities working on the tunnel project.
