WATERTOWN, S.D. (KWAT)–It was a strong July for passenger enplanement numbers at Watertown Regional Airport.

Airport Manager Ian Meriwether says total passenger boardings for the month were 1,599. Of that number, 1,011 people flew to Denver, and 588 to Chicago O’Hare.

July was the last month of Denver Air Connection service in Watertown

SkyWest Airlines became Watertown’s Essential Air Service provider on August 1st, with United Express flights to Denver, and Delta Connection flights to Minneapolis-St. Paul.

For the first seven months of the year, there have been 8.049 passenger enplanements in Watertown, or an average of 1,149 per month.
