MITCHELL, S.D.(KYNT)- While there is still lots of summer left, forecasters are starting to look at long range outlooks into the fall.
South Dakota State Climatologist Laura Edwards says the thirty-to-ninety-day outlooks are kind of hazy.
Edwards says there are some climate drivers out there.
Edwards says the summer forecasts were not a good guide.
While summer was expected to be hot and dry, it turned out to be mild and wet in most of the state.
