HURON, S.D.(KOKK)- The big red sheep shed or Shed on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds in Huron replaced the old sheep building that once stood in an area now occupied by the DEX. The new complex will have year round use. Sheep producer Faith Olson and Mya Moore from Brandt, South Dakota have entries at the Shed, Faith talks about the new facility.
The Shed features a 1,320 square foot indoor educational center focused on agriculture and the sheep industry. Faith says what you will find inside.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is being held Thursday for the new Open Class Sheep barn on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds in Huron.
Governor Larry Rhoden is looking forward to seeing the completed building.
The educational center in The SHED is designed to provide an interactive experience that connects visitors to the history of the sheep industry and to South Dakota agriculture.
