Back Forty Beef Adventure Farm to begin new season September 6th

PIERPONT, S.D.(Press Release) – The Back Forty Beef Adventure Farm is excited to kick off its third season this fall, featuring a 12-acre corn maze, family-friendly attractions, an on-farm store, and more!

In partnership with Channel Seed and Pro Ag Supply, this year’s corn maze design celebrates harvest with a combine working in the field, two pheasants in flight, the words “God Bless Farmers” and a bright sun overhead. Visitors can use their smartphones to navigate the maze, “check in” for special rewards from local businesses, and learn fun facts about farming and combines along the way.

Beyond the maze, guests can enjoy the corn pit, hay tunnels, farm animals, and a variety of activities for all ages. New to the farm this year is the South Dakota Corn AgVenture Playground and Spookley the Square Pumpkin Walking & Reading Path, adding even more excitement to the adventure. When hunger strikes, rotating food trucks will be on-site each weekend serving delicious meals.

Before heading home, visitors can stop at The Farm Store, which features a wide selection of local products, including homegrown Back Forty Beef, pumpkins from Waldner Farms and Liberty Gardens, and other locally sourced goods.

The Adventure Farm will also host special events throughout the season. Back by popular demand, Taste the Maze returns for its second year on Saturday, September 13, and now includes craft beer tastings alongside wine. This adults-only evening event (21+) runs from 5–9 p.m. and includes six wine or beer samples, a complimentary wine glass for the first 150 ticket holders, snacks, and full access to the corn maze and farm attractions. Guests will also enjoy live music from Brown County native Haven Brunes. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online.

Other special events this season include:
● Hocus Pocus Movie Nights
● Kids Pedal Tractor Pull
● Night Maze & S’mores Nights
● NEW! Harvest Hustle Costume Run, hosted in partnership with the Aberdeen Area Running Club

The Adventure Farm opens for the season on September 6–7 and will be open every weekend through October 25–26, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry at 4 p.m.).
