HURON, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- So far, he is the only Democratic name tagged to the race for South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds seat in the 2026 general election. Beaudion met with voters at the South Dakota State Fair last week.
Beaudion in the town hall the Democrat Party hosted on Saturday addressed a variety of topics.
He discuss impacts tariffs could have on farmers.
Beuadion also talked about his opposition to the One Big Beautiful Bill now signed by President Trump.
Beaudion express his criticism to both Republicans and Democrats currently serving.
Beaudion was asked about his opinion on the issue of insiders trading.
Beaudion also discuss the issue of term limits for Congressmen.
The rescission package include cuts to PBS & NPR. South Dakota is projected to lose over 2 million dollars from it. Beaudion has a message to voters who are supportive of SDPB.
Beaudion acknowledge that now everything he will do will agree with all South Dakotans.
Beaudion says his campaign is being well received by voters so far. Senator Mike Rounds has not made a formal declaration to run, but has indicated in recent interviews a desire to continue to serve South Dakota in Washington. Also announced for the race is Brian Bengs of Hot Springs(formerly of Aberdeen). He’s ran previously for the Senate as a Democrat, but is intending to run next year as an Independant.
