YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Record flooding on the James River caused all four of the county maintained bridges over the river to be closed.
Yankton County Highway Superintendent Mike Sedlacek told the county commission that all the bridges need to be inspected before they can be reopened.
Sedlacek says some of the bridges were totally covered.
Sedlacek says they hope to have the bridges inspected by early next week.
Sedlacek says they still have a number of closed roads with barricades.
