PIERRE, S.D.(Press Release) –On Friday, Governor Larry Rhoden ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in honor of former state legislator Charles C. Droz. He served in the South Dakota State House of Representatives from 1957 to 1969, and he served as the Speaker of the House from 1965 to 1966.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am CT on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Miller, SD.
