ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Aberdeen City Council voted Monday night Aberdeen Police Chief Dave McNeil the next Aberdeen City Manager.

Following the vote, Chief McNeil reacted to being the next city manager.

McNeil will be resigning as Police Chief.  He goes over the hiring process for the next police chief.

McNeil hope to learn in the next couple months from current city manager Robin Bobzien.

McNeil wants to reach out to the council and the community.

Current city manager Robin Bobzien is expected to retire on December 12th.
