ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, the commissioners received a report from Brown County Auditor Lyn Heupel talking about the number of precincts within the city of Aberdeen.

Heupel talks about how this would impact their offices.

Brown County Commissioner Drew Dennert feels that four would be too small.

Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton was satisfied with four precincts because that would be determined based on city elections for council people.

Brown County Commissioner Mike Wiese expressed his support for four precincts.

The commissioned voted 3-2(Commissioners Wiese, Gage, and Sutton in favor)(Commissioners Dennert and Dinger opposed) for the Auditor’s office to work on a resolution to reduce precincts in Aberdeen from eleven down to four.
