Mason-Dixon Polling release latest poll for Governor race in 2026(Republican side)

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Mason-Dixon Polling and Strategy has released their latest poll for the South Dakota Gubernatorial race on the Republican side.  The first poll released since they did one back in April.  South Dakota News Watch sponsored the poll.  The poll surveyed 502 registered Republican voters for the week of October 16-20.  There’s a margin of error of +/- 4.5%.

Congressman Dusty Johnson 28%(28% in April) Johnson declared his candidacy in June.

Governor Larry Rhoden 27%(27% in April) Rhoden has not officially declared his candidacy.

Aberdeen businessman Toby Doeden 15%(4% in April) Doeden declared his candidacy in May.

Representative(Speaker of the House) Jon Hansen 10%(2% in April) Hansen declared his candidacy in April.

Undecided at 21%(20% in April).

President Trump or Secretary Noem has not endorsed any candidate for Governor.

Republican Primary is June 2nd and 35% is needed to win the nomination for Governor.
