Wolves Offense Struggles in Shortcoming vs. Bulldogs

Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University men’s basketball team fell to (RV) Minnesota Duluth in Thursday NSIC action from Wachs Arena. The Bulldogs led through a majority of the contest, holding a 14-point lead at the half. Nine Wolves scored in the game, while 12 saw the court.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Wolves tallied 30 points in the first and 32 in the second, while the Bulldogs notched 44 in the first and 35 in the second
  • NSU struggled with efficiency, shooting 28.8% from the floor and 24.1% from the 3-point line, they did however knock down a season high 25 free throws
  • Northern recorded 29 rebounds, eight assists, seven made 3-pointers, six steals, and two blocks
  • They scored 18 points off the bench, led by Lane Tietz with seven, 12 points in the paint, six second chance points, and five points off turnovers
  • On the other side of the court, the Bulldogs scored 34 points off the bench, 30 points in the paint, 22 points off turnovers, and 17 second chance points
  • Joshua Book and Ty Rogers led NSU with 12 and 11 points respectively, while James Glenn reeled in a team best five rebounds
  • Rogers dropped a team leading three from beyond the arc and Book and Marshawn Smith dished out a team best three assists
  • Benjamin Bowen was third on the team with eight points, followed by Glenn and Tietz with seven apiece
