ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The final Chamber Connections Series for the fall/winter cycle was held on Thursday at the K.O.Lee Public Library. The feature speakers were Jennifer Deutsch, Brandy Netty, and Abbey Zens of NSU. They will be talking about the following:
Northern Academy:
Abbey Zens is the director and she describe what that is.
Zens talks about their mission.
Zens talks about the scholarship program and the ways they can qualify for that.
Zens looks ahead to the future of the Northern Academy.
Online Learning/Continuing Education:
Brandy Netty is the director of this department. The main focus was more toward continuing education for those who may have dropped out.
Netty describes Back to the Pack.
Netty discuss the number of people both nationwide and in the Aberdeen region that fits into this category.
Netty also file reports regarding veterans services the university provides.
Micro-Credentials:
Jennifer Deutsch in the director and she define what micro-credentials are.
Deutsch talks about this got started at NSU.
Deutsch discuss the four categories they used for these badges.(1:08)
Deutsch goes over what they have achieved so far.
This was the final session for the fall/winter cycle. The Connection Series will resume on Thursday, January 8th. Kore Cares will continue to be the main sponsor and will continue to take place at the K.O.Lee Public Library.
