WASHINGTON, D.C.(KELO)- More than a month without pay, and no end in sight for the partial government shutdown.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune says Democrats are unwilling to negotiate a settlement and are jeopardizing national security in the process.
Thune had the Senate in session Saturday, trying to make progress on the SAVE Act Voter-ID legislation.
He says Democrats have gone a step beyond opposing the measure.
He says the Act is necessary, because courts have limited states to the requirements of the 1993 National Voter Registration Act…which doesn’t require voters to prove they’re U-S Citizens.
More than a month without pay for TSA and Homeland Security employees…and no end in sight for the partial government shutdown.
