Attorney General Jackley testify in Washington on Tuesday

WASHINGTON, D.C.(KELO)- Attorney General Marty Jackley testified before a congressional committee Tuesday…in a hearing called ‘Farming on Trial”.

The focus is on federal agencies using lawfare to intimidate and punish farm and ranch families.

Jackley took committee members through the recent case involving Charles and Heather Maude, who faced jail time and heavy fines in a land dispute with the Forest Service.

Fortunately the Maude case was dropped, but the committee is hearing about other cases that were not.

Democrats walked out of the hearing at the beginning, saying they weren’t allowed to offer inpute on motions or witnesses…and said it wasn’t a real hearing.
