Lt. Governor Venhuizen comment on groundbreaking for new mens prison

BROOKINGS, S.D.(KBRK)- Groundbreaking for the new men’s prison in Sioux Falls took place this week.
Lt. Gov. Tony Venhuizen said this was a long time coming.
He said the new facility is all about rehabilitation.
Venhuizen said the men’s facility is just one part of South Dakota’s changing prison system.
He said other changes are coming as well.
The new men’s prison is being built in northeast Sioux Falls. Total pricetag on the project is capped at $650 million.
