ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters hosted the District 3 House Candidate Forum on Saturday at the K.O.Lee Public Library.
The candidates are incumbent Representative Al Novstrup, and challengers, Kaleb Weis, Spencer Sommers, and Tim Hanigan.
Public funding for private schools, homeschooling & charter schools:
Each candidate was asked about whether public funding should be used for those schools.
Representative Novstrup talks about his philosophy on schooling.
Weis offered his support but to do it responsibly.
Sommers believe public funding should go only to public schools.
Hanigan believes in parents choice but discussed what the legislature has done the last two years.
