ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Coming up this Saturday the Aberdeen Postal Service in conjunction with the United Way of NorthEast South Dakota are doing their food drive to help the community. This year marks the 34th year the NALC(National Association of Letter Carriers) has been doing this across the country.
Communications & Impact Coordinator for United Way, Angie Cleberg talks about how this all got started.
Cleberg talks about where the food will be going to here in Aberdeen.
Throughout this week, blue bags will be placed in mailboxes to place food in. Even if you don’t get a bag, Cleberg talks about what they can put those in for pickup on Saturday.
Cleberg goes over some locations that you can drop off donations for this food drive.
A number of schools this week are also participating. Double check your school to see if they are involved.
