Pierre Dual Tournament w/ Aberdeen Roncalli [Day 1 of 2]
Aberdeen Roncalli went 0-2 on Day 1 of the Pierre Dual Tournament, dropping a 7-2 decision to Rapid City Christian Comets and falling 9-0 to St. Thomas More Cavaliers.
Against Rapid City Christian, Roncalli picked up its two points in doubles play. The duo of Ezra Feickert and Linus Johnson earned a tight 10-8 win, while Liam Voehl and Caleb Stoks added another doubles victory, 10-3. Feickert also accounted for Roncalli’s lone singles win, defeating Lucas Fernau 10-4.
In the matchup with St. Thomas More, the Cavaliers ran into a strong opponent and were swept across all flights despite competitive efforts throughout the lineup. Feickert, Voehl, Johnson, Stoks, Lincoln Hundstad, and Cody Niederbaumer all competed in singles, while Roncalli’s doubles teams also battled but came up short.
