ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At this time there are currently four amendments the voters will be deciding in the 2026 general elections.
Earlier this month, South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley have released the statements that will be seen describing them on the ballot. Jackley described his thoughts on each of those amendments.
Jackley talks about the amendment to raise the threshold to amend the South Dakota Constitution from 50% to 60%.
Jackley talks about the amendment to repeal expanded Medicaid coverage.(1:12)
Jackley goes over the amendment to establish a trust for unclaimed property funds.
Jackley talks about the amendment addressing citizenship to vote.
The statements that appears on the ballot are required to be impartial. Attorney General Jackley can’t make any official recommendations on any the amendments voted on by the people.
