ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio) — The Aberdeen Aqua Addicts Water Ski Team is inviting the entire Aberdeen community to celebrate a major milestone on Thursday, June 18 with a free public show at Dahme Lake. The evening will feature a ribbon cutting by the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by a full water ski performance — all at no cost to attendees. AARP has been named the presenting sponsor of the evening’s show. No tickets or registration are needed for this event.
The celebration marks the completion of new bleachers at the team’s Dahme Lake facility — a $100,000 upgrade years in the making and a cornerstone goal of the organization’s 30th anniversary year.
Two major institutional supporters helped bring the project across the finish line. The City of Aberdeen Promotions Fund awarded $10,000 toward the bleachers, and the Aberdeen Area Community Foundation contributed an additional $3,000 grant. The remainder was raised through team fundraising efforts and private donors. The bleachers arrived in April 2026 and are now fully assembled and ready for the season.
Aberdeen Aqua Addicts was founded back in 1995.
