SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(HubCityRadio) –Terrence Davis has officially secured the Democratic nomination for South Dakota Secretary of State.

Davis earned the support of delegates at their Democratic Convention held earlier this year in Oacoma.

Davis said “I am honored and humbled by the confidence placed in me by Democratic delegates across our state.  This campaign has always been about protecting the integrity of our elections, improving services for businesses and citizens, and ensuring that the Secretary of State’s Office remains accessible, transparent, and accountable to the people.

As Secretary of State, I will work to strengthen confidence in our democratic institutions, modernize services where appropriate, and ensure that every South Dakotan receives fair and responsive service from this office.”

Davis stated, “This is just the first step. Our focus now shifts to November and the work that lies ahead. South Dakotans want a Secretary of State who recognizes the significance of this role and is ready to serve with commitment, integrity, and respect for the Constitution.”

The Republicans will nominate their candidate for Secretary of State in their convention later this month in Rapid City.
