ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council on Monday night discussed preparations for when FEMA will do a flood survey in Brown County coming up in 2027.

Aberdeen Assistant City Engineer Destin Spellman:

TJ Yerdon with HDR Engineering Inc. talked about the goal of the project.

Yerdon discussed the main focus will be on Moccasin Creek.

Yerdon talked about the benefit of using Helms Associates to help with the study.

Yerdon talked about what parts of the city is being used for the study.

The study can’t exceed $299,041.  The council approved the study request.
