MITCHELL, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds along with Congressman Dusty Johnson was on the panel Wednesday updating on the Farm Bill working its way through Congress.
Senator John Thune talked about some of the priorities he was pleased to see in the upcoming Farm Bill.
Senator Mike Rounds was happy to see E15 year round and MCOOL(Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling).
Congressman Dusty Johnson acknowledged farm bills aren’t easy to pass.
Senator Thune told the audience what percentage of the farm bill deals with agriculture.
Senator Rounds expanded on his support on E15 and working with states with refineries who have expressed concerns about that.
Congressman Johnson will be leaving Congress at the end of the year. He talked about how it was an honor to work alongside both Senators Thune and Rounds.
All three hope the Farm Bill passes Congress by the end of the year.
