Head Coach Ryan Bohle’s thoughts on the win over Madison: “This was a much different Madison team than what we saw without their flight one to start the season. Their one doubles really took it to us early but two and three doubles both won so we were up 2-1 going to singles. We got singles wins from Sydney, Gianna, Abigail, and Lydia to carry us to team with #7.”

Head Coach Ryan Bohle’s thoughts on the win over Huron: “It was a nailbiter that literally came down to the last match. We started with singles wins from Sydney, Abigail and Lydia so we are 3-3 going to doubles and we have to win two of three to get the team win. Probably not where we wanted to be; three doubles dominated and two doubles lost a close match so it’s 4-4 pending one doubles. It was back and forth the entire match and we get to 9-8. At the changeover we tell the girls, ‘okay best game right here to close it out.’ Big time players always rise to the occasion. Are we big time players? We are about to find out. We very quickly get down love-40 but we fight all the way back to take it to deuce. After a long point the Huron girls makes a great shot to send it to a tiebreak. Josie starts the tiebreak with a great serve to put us up 1-0. Split the next two to make it 2-1. Sydney steps up and absolutely buries two serves to make it 4-1 and back and forth made it 5-3 before Josie drills the last two winners to seal the match and get the win over Huron. I think both Josie and Sydney would tell you they weren’t particularly sharp today, but man oh man, talk about clutch performances with all eyes on them. We said to them afterwards, like we said: big time players rise to the occasions in the biggest moments and man did Josie and Sydney do that to the end of the day.”
