ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Connections Series continued Thursday at the K.O.Lee Public Library.

Feature speaker was Jeff Everson, Sales and Marketing Manager of Northern Valley Communications.  The focus was on fiber connectivity.  Some people may refer to that as fiber optics.

Everson talked about how NVC got involved with fiber since 2018.

Everson told the audience that they have fiber in place along US HWY 281.

Everson discussed what fiber can do.

Everson compare fiber connectivity to 5G internet connections.  G stands for Generation not Gigabytes.

Everson said fiber has room to grow in the future.

Fiber connectivity has proven to be beneficial in rural communities that have access to them.
