ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- Aberdeen City Attotrney Ron Wager(Wag-er) discussed how the council can address data centers following sessions done by experts, businesses, and the public input on them.

Wager talked about how the SD Legislature passage of the Data Center Bill of Rights dictated the way the council now address data centers.

Wager believed that the city council shouldn’t be involved in non-disclosed agreements.

Wager reminds the public the ways that the public can deal with ordinances that they may not agree with.

Wager talked about working on two ordinances.  The first dealing with tax refunds that data centers may qualify for.

Wager told the council the options available for the second ordinance.

Wager asked the council to provide their input on what they would like to see in the ordinance.
