District 3 House candidate Spencer Sommers will be heading to Pierre after receiving the most votes in the 2026 elections.

Republicans struggled election night nationwide.  Democrats will pick up seats in the House but actually lost a seat in the Senate in South Dakota.  Sommers talked about why that was the case.
