WATERTOWN, S.D. (WNAX) – Dakota Rural Action will be holding their third annual forum on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations in Watertown on Dec. 6. DRA Organizer Rebecca Terk says the purpose of the workshop is to train county officials, so they better understand the permitting process for CAFOs.

She says they’ll talk about environmental and water issues.

Terk says DRA wants to assist county officials in developing solid permit rules.

The free workshop runs Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Codington County Extension Building. RSVP’s are needed by today at 605—697-5204, extension 260.
