PIERRE, S.D. (Press Release) – Governor Kristi Noem has ordered flags at the South Dakota State Capitol to be flown at half-staff from 8 a.m. until sunset on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, to honor the life of Kermit Staggers, a former legislator.

Staggers served in the South Dakota Senate from 1995 until 2002. A memorial service for Staggers was held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls.
