PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem laid out a tight 2021 budget framework for legislators Tuesday.
Noem, in a news conference after the speech, says she ordered state agencies to cut back on spending earlier this year.
Noem says there are some critical priorities that will get one time funding.
Noem says the plan covers some important education issues.
She also included money for expanded drug treatment programs.
The 2020 legislative session starts on Jan. 14.
