PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem delivered her second “State of the State” address to a joint meeting of the legislature Tuesday.
Noem, who had proposed no increase in state aid to education next year, said revenues have picked up since then.
Noem says while last year was a tough one for agriculture, there will be a renewed focus on rural development.
Noem says she wants the legislature help continue work on pheasant habitat.
Noem also wants to continue the expansion of broadband internet connections and focus on tourism as economic drivers.
