PENNINGTON COUNTY, S.D. (KBHB) – One child had minor injuries, after a driver rear-ended a school bus west of Rapid City on Tuesday.
Sheriffs officials say that around 3:30 Tuesday, deputies were called to an injury accident on Nemo Road, after a passenger car rear-ended a school bus.
Three grade-school age children and a driver were on the bus at the time of the crash.
One child on the bus suffered minor injuries which were treated by responders. The driver of the car was taken to Monument Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There’s no word on the person’s identity or their current condition.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was cited for Failure to Stop for a School Bus.
Agencies that responded were the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, and Doty Fire Department.
