Update: Name released in crash south of Madison

MADISON, S.D. (Press Release) – A Wentworth, S.D. man has been identified as the person who died Friday night in a one-vehicle crash south of Madison.

A 2005 GMC Sierra was southbound on South Dakota Highway 19 when the driver lost control on the slippery roadway. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled.

The driver, 39-year-old Joshua Anderson, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
