PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – This is crossover week for the South Dakota legislature when all bills must pass out of their House of origin or be dead for the year.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says there will be lots of hours between committees and floor debate.

Hunhoff says its up to the Speaker of the House to set the stage for floor debate.

Hunhoff says they need to avoid a jam on the floor.

The final day of the main run of the session is March 12.
