PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Governor Kristi Noem has spent the last few days touring the state, looking over damages from blizzards and flooding.
At her stop in Yankton on Friday, County Commission Chairman Dan Klimisch says they are still adding up the damage that can be seen.
Klimisch says a lot of work went into protecting people.
Noem says she expects federal disaster aid.
Noem says the disaster declaration is already underway.
Noem says she has been impressed with the response to the storms.
Noem also looked over flood damage in Dakota Dunes and Sioux Falls.
