ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Aberdeen Mayor Travis Schaunaman provided his thoughts Monday morning on the current COVID-19 situation in the Hub City.

He said there are no confirmed cases in Aberdeen.

Mayor Schaunaman said that people should refrain from binge shopping for certain items, which prevents others from getting those items.

He said local businesses will likely be able to restock shelves given a chance to do so.

Mayor Schaunaman advised people to follow the guidelines set forth to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

He said that while there is no need to panic, people should take the issue seriously and look out for those around them.
