WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says he is hearing from livestock producers and is looking to get them some help.
Cash prices for livestock have crashed following the coronavirus outbreak while retail demand increases.
Johnson says the U.S. Ag Department has programs in place that could be adapted.
Johnson says there also needs to be a longer term, deeper look into the meat production industry.
Johnson says he believes there are programs and dollars available in the Ag Department.
