ABERDEEN, S.D. (aberdeennews.com) – Flexible learning opportunities and e-learning are new catchphrases at schools as districts look at being closed for a second week.
Gov. Kristi Noem’s closure orders have been in response to concerns about COVID-19. There will be no K-12 in-person classes in South Dakota before March 30.
In response, some schools are launching programs for their students while others are having conversations about keeping students engaged during the break.
Aberdeen public schools, Roncalli and Trinity Lutheran all have devised plans. Discussions are ongoing at Aberdeen Christian if school closures are extended beyond next week, which is spring break.
