SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – All the signs point to a drastic drop in state sales taxes over the next few months as the coronavirus pandemic shut down many businesses.
Senator Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls says they don’t have a lot of solid information now.
Nesiba says he and other legislators are getting regular updates from Governor Kristi Noem’s office.
Nesiba says legislators are looking for help where ever they can find it.
The state has already received $600 million from the federal government as the first half of an economic stimulus payment.
